What is Reiki Training?

Reiki is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. The word "Reiki" is derived from two Japanese words: "Rei," which means "universal," and "Ki," which means "life energy." Reiki practitioners believe that they can channel this universal energy to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.


Reiki Training Levels

Reiki training typically consists of three Levels, each level is designed to deepen your understanding and ability to work with Reiki energy.


Level 1

  • Focuses on self-healing and learning to channel Reiki energy for personal use.
  • Students receive an attunement from a Reiki Master, which is a ritual that opens the student's energy channels, allowing them to connect with the Reiki energy.
  • After the attunement, students learn hand positions for self-healing and healing others.


Level 2

  • Involves learning to use Reiki symbols, which are believed to enhance the healing process.
  • Students also learn techniques for distance healing, allowing them to send Reiki energy to someone not physically present.
  • This level deepens the practitioner's ability to work with Reiki energy and expands the scope of their practice.


Level 3 - Master

  • This level is often divided into two parts: Reiki Master Practitioner and Reiki Master Teacher.
  • As a Reiki Master Practitioner, students learn the Master symbol, which is considered the most powerful symbol in Reiki.
  • The Reiki Master Teacher training enables students to attune others to Reiki, teach Reiki, and pass on the knowledge.
